This painting is of one of the barns at the inspiring Weir Farm in Connecticut. I worked on location once and had to continue the painting in my studio as this farm was a distance from my home. I worked for several weeks from my memory trying stay true to my initial inspiration. As my painting was almost finished, I felt that I needed another look at the nature, so I studied a photo that I took and then was able to complete the piece.
