This painting was created on location in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.
The bright yellow black-eyed Susan's amid the white daisies and assorted wildflowers made the view irresistible to me. The composition is classic with the meandering path complementing the scene.
Infusing my bold application of color creates an expressive and heartfelt painting. My hope is for the viewer to be reminded of the simple beauty of nature and share in the joy that I felt while creating this piece.
